Bringing Christy home update

It appears that Christy was asleep when her blood sugars fell. she asperated and her brain did not get enough oxygen to sustain it's function. Our goal remains to bring Christy. Her brother is flying out to meet us and see his sister one last time.

We continue to sort through her things and decide what to keep and what to leave. Our car is small and we can only bring back that which is of most meaning to us.

I don't know if I will post anymore because I am emotionally spent and have no more desire to share my feelings at this time - CAS-

Sorting thru a life

It is 6:34AM in Oceanside California. We are preparing to go the the hospital to see Christy. Christy always liked to write. These post will be a dedication to the memory of that part of her. She has many journals she has kept through the years. I have begun to go through her things. I have started to make piles of her clothes. Keep, give away, trash. It is strange how you go through the process of sorting through a life. I can't seem to part with anything. Trying to hold on to something of her. We have her cell phone. We learned how to send and answer calls. It is part of our connection to are larger family and a way for them to contact us. Christy would be so proud of us for finally learning to use one. -CAS-

Bringing Christy Home

They say it takes a Village to raise a child. It will take the power of the
web to bring my Child home. Christy is in a diabetic coma in a hospital in
California. As I visit her each day, thoughts of how we are going to get her
home to Ohio are ever present on my mind. There is no family or friends here.
If she ends up in a nursing home no one will visit her. How long will she survive without stimulation and love. I have to get her home to Ohio and her 10 year old son. I will post updates as I can. Please pray for Christy.
